Originally from Minnesota, Maddie’s stage experience ranges from devised, experimental work to classical French farce. Austin credits include Galina in The Last Match, Catharine in Suddenly Last Summer (Austin Theatre Critics Award nomination), Dorothy in Above the Fold, Hilda in The Lady from the Sea (The Filigree Theatre); Felicity in The Real Inspector Hound, Madge in The Game's Afoot (The Stage Austin); and Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest (City Theatre). On screen, Maddie recently produced and directed the upcoming short film Didelphys, and has starred in several shorts and a feature film. She holds a B.A. from Lawrence University where she studied History/Film Studies and Theatre.
